VALERIA PALLADINO, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer
Valeria Palladino is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Edmonton Epilepsy Association, EEA, since 2020. A graduate of University of Alberta, she holds masters degrees in Secondary Education and Communications Technologies.
While experienced in working for government agencies, post-secondary institutions and in municipal leadership roles, she believes serving the epilepsy community of northern Alberta is her dream job. A passion for service is the most important ingredient for success in the charitable sector, and she thrives in knowing everything the EEA does is to Empower People Who Live with Epilepsy.

After spending over 15 years in healthcare administration, public health, patient & community engagement & wellness. Mona decided to pursue her passion and enrolled in the SAIT Baking and Pastry Arts program. Two-years later, Mona had a Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts to go along with her two Masters degrees. After a short internship in a Michelin-Starred restaurant in Provence, developing the dessert menu for a new deli and teaching weekly cooking classes at a Williams Sonoma, Mona started Mona’s Table to teach in-home baking & cooking.
Over the past 4 years, she has spent her time combining her love of food and her desire to make the community a better place by working with Mealshare. Mealshare is a not-for-profit that partners with restaurants to fight youth hunger.

In the Fall of 2012 Gemma moved to Edmonton from the UK where she worked in the voluntary sector for over 12 years. She has worked for a variety of organizations, supporting a diverse range of voluntary/community sector organisations and charities.
Gemma’s roles have enabled her to work very closely with communities and voluntary sector organisations in developing a range of specialist packages which support organisations to review their policies, income strategy and promote the valuable work of the voluntary sector. Gemma’s main interests lie around funding, service delivery and strengthening the evidence base for voluntary action.

Peggy Caesar is the Communication Specialist at ADRA Canada with over 15 years of experience in government, corporate, for, and not-for-profit organizational settings. In her current role, Peggy works to develop, capture and share stories from ADRA projects with members and partners in Canada and around the world.
