The next organization we will be sharing is EDGE UAlberta! EDGE was founded in 2017 however is a new club that has been brought to the University of Alberta campus this past year! EDGE currently has over ten chapters reaching all across Canada.
The next organization we will be sharing is EDGE UAlberta! EDGE was founded in 2017 however is a new club that has been brought to the University of Alberta campus this past year! EDGE currently has over ten chapters reaching all across Canada.
EDGE's mission is to dismantle financial, information and advocacy barriers to ensure that all students have a fair and equal opportunity to achieve their desired educational and professional goals. EDGE builds their community through student involvement in two primary ways: executive membership as well as general membership. General members have access to internal and external professional development opportunities. It is key to note that they also partner with key organizations such as RBC and Google- fostering greater professional development and presenting broad opportunities. Executive recruitment would give students access to the ‘behind the scenes’ of EDGE’s work. Roles include student engagement, events, finance and marketing. This would provide students with an amazing opportunity to get involved with a not for profit organization on a local scale. EDGE strives to build a Canada where all post secondary students have equal opportunity to be successful both academically and professionally.
